Mark is our first guest from Africa!
We were a bit confused because he has shown us a UK passport so we thought he was British. Than this morning a white pin has appeard on the map, marking Tanzania and Mark explained us that besides he’s currently living in London, he’s born and grown up there. We’re so excited because we have guest from all around the world, but nobody from Africa so far.
What a nice surprise!

Spring Again

2018.04.20

After a long winter, spring has come again to Osaka! Our Cornus tree beside the entrance door has got a tough winter becuse it has been moved recently and we thought we could never have made it through low winter temperatures, but surprisingly it’s still alive!
Unfortunately its upper half seems to be dead and unlikely it’ll be blooming this year, but with mild temperatures and our good care we’re confident we are goona get it well again!

Hanami Night

2018.03.30

Sakura season has come ealry this year! Today we went off early, and the weather was warm enough, so we jumped at the chance to have a night picnic amongst sakura trees at Osaka Castle Park!
Of course, we could have it during the day, but the park is always overcrowded in this season during the day, so we thought that it’s definitely better a peacefull seat under the cool night sky than having no seat at all in the hot of the day!
What a lovely and relaxing night after an hard day’s work!

It’s my birthday and till 7pm it was a very sad birthday.
No one of my friends in Japan called to congratulate me. I went to job and I’ve worked till evening.
When I was going back to home, Jin asked me to go on an errand. When I was back… Surprise!  flew all my friends out, threw me this huge surprise party!
We had Nabe (Japanese pot cooking) and Miyuki’s handmade cake. Before the party was over, one of our guest, Nagaisa, traveling from Fukuoka to promote a very delicious and special Italian olive oil (what a coincidence!) joined us! He drank and played games together till late.
We had very good time together! Thank you all!

2017.01.04

Ryu is Taiwanese but he lives in Tokyo since 2008. He’s Japanese skills have impressed me since the check-in. If I hadn’t seen his passport I wouldn’t come up with his real origins! He’s spent with us 5 days during which we have very interesting talks. He also joined us at new year’s eve party.
Thank you for the time spent together and come to see us again!

Maikendama Pro

2017.01.04

What if I told you that this two guys from France don’t like wine you wouldn’t believe me right?
Like an Italian who doesn’t like pizza or pasta. Anyway Cedric and Jerome, two funny guys from Paris, do like beer, but not wine! Unbelievable!
Now the truly amazing thing was that Cedric (the guy on right) was incredibly good at “maikendama”. He showed us several impressive tricks that he learnt in Fukuoka, when he have studied Japanese. Tomorrow they’re gonna continue their trip across Japan heading to Tokyo!
Be safe and take care!
